The AED is now in place (kindly installed by the Phillip's family) on the front wall of the village community shop and operational. It is accessible 24/7. The Lions Club have generously provided a £200 donation towards the unit.
I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT THIS IS LIFESAVING EQUIPMENT AND IS NOT TO BE REMOVED EXCEPT IN AN EMERGENCY.
The AED is for use by anyone in an emergency medical situation when a cardiac problem is suspected. In an emergency call 999 before collecting the unit.
The model purchased is very user friendly and talks through each step once the ON button is pressed, it will NOT give a shock unless it is needed and can be used until an ambulance arrives.
For free online training please visit https://www.bhf.org.uk then click the link in the top righthand corner 'Learn CPR' Our unit will be placed on the National Register once it is installed.
If there is sufficient interest I will price up for some face to face training, please email the Parish clerk [email protected]
